The project CAPBIO4BG will improve the research and innovation (R&I) capacity of the AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY OF PLOVDIV (AUP) in the Bioeconomy
Funded by the National Programme ‘European Scientific Networks’ by the Ministry of Education and Science of Bulgaria, the CAPBIO4BG will run in 2021-2022. The AUP will develop and implement new education programmes in Bioeconomy for BSc, MSc and PhD-levels and specialised VET cources. The researchers’ capacities to execute R&I projects in Bioeconomy value chains at regional, national and cross-border scale will be strengthened.
The AUP is twinning with three European Universities with excellent track record on a Bioeconomy: Wageningen University and Research (WUR), University College of Dublin (UCD) and University of Bologna (UNIBO). The project will also enhance the AUP capacity for multi-actor and multi-disciplinary collaborative R&I as a key precondition for implementing regional strategies on bioeconomy in Bulgaria and in the AUP.
